Bert D. Barre, CFA
Principal
Charleston Office
Prior to joining Colonial in 2001, Bert worked as an Equity Research Analyst with Wachovia Securities, Inc. In 2003, he earned the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation. Bert became a principal of the firm in 2007 and serves as both a trust officer and portfolio manager. He is a native of Spartanburg and a graduate of Washington and Lee University. Bert and his wife Katherine have three teenage children give back extensively to the Spartanburg community. Bert has served as Chair of the Board the Chapman Cultural Center and the Spartanburg County Foundation and a Deacon and Elder at First Presbyterian Church.
Camp R. Wynn, CFA

Camp joined Colonial in 2001, and became a principal in 2007. He previously worked as an analyst in Banc of America Securities’ Global Corporate Investment Bank in Charlotte and for the Bank of America Financial Strategies Group. He earned the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation in 2003. He serves as a trust officer and portfolio manager, and heads Colonial’s investment research. He is a Spartanburg native and a graduate of USC.
Joe P. Anderson III, CPA, CFP®
Financial Advisor & Family Office Strategist

Joe joined Colonial Trust Company in 2025 as a Financial Advisor and Family Office Strategist. He is a Certified Financial Planner™ (CFP®) and Certified Public Accountant (CPA) with more than a decade of experience in public accounting, having worked at both a Big Four firm and a large regional firm. In addition, Joe spent two years in a family office environment, further deepening his expertise in comprehensive planning. He graduated magna cum laude from Erskine College and went on to earn a Master of Professional Accountancy with a concentration in Taxation from Clemson University. Joe calls Spartanburg home, where he enjoys life with his wife Mary Katherine and young daughter.
Henry E. Batts III, AWMA®, CTFA

Henry joined Colonial Trust Company as a Financial Advisor, in our Columbia office. He is an experienced financial professional with ten years of comprehensive investment management and planning. Prior to joining the company, Henry worked with Janney Montgomery Scott, LLC in Columbia, SC as a Financial Advisor. He is a graduate of the University of South Carolina – Darla Moore School of Business. Henry holds the distinguished AWMA® (Accredited Wealth Management Advisor SM) designation, the FINRA Series 7 license, and Series 66 Life, Accident and Health Insurance License.

Turner Coxe
ASSOCIATE PORTFOLIO MANAGER AND INVESTMENT ANALYST

Turner joined Colonial Trust in 2026, bringing prior experience as an Associate Private Client Advisor with Texas Capital Bank in Dallas, Texas. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Economics with Financial Applications, a Master of Management, and a Master of Business Administration from Southern Methodist University. Originally from Dallas, Turner now resides in Simpsonville with his family. Outside of work, he enjoys staying active, exploring the outdoors, and spending quality time with his family.
James C. Fiske, CFP®

Prior to joining Colonial in 2019, Jimmy worked as a Portfolio Analyst at Brown Advisory in Washington, D.C. and more recently as a Financial Advisor at BB&T Scott and Stringfellow in Greenville, SC. He earned a Certificate in Financial Planning from Georgetown University - School of Continuing Studies and is a Certified Financial Planner (CFP®️). He graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Economics from the University of South Carolina. Jimmy is originally from Alexandria, VA, and now lives in Greenville with his wife, Patton, and two daughters.
Jamison W. Hinds, JD

Jamie joined Colonial Trust after having practiced law in Greenville for 18 years with the firm Ashmore Leaphart Rabon Hinds, LLC. He practiced in Estate Planning, Trust & Probate Administration and Litigation. He has served on the South Carolina Board of Accountancy and in other community roles. A native of Birmingham, Alabama, Jamie is a graduate of Sewanee, The University of South and The University of Alabama School of Law.
Thomas S. Ledbetter, CFA
Investment Analyst and Portfolio Manager

Thomas joined Colonial Trust in 2022, and previously worked as an Associate Investment Analyst for Wells Fargo Private Bank in Charlotte, NC. He is a graduate of Clemson University with a Bachelor’s in Economics, and was awarded the CFA charter in October 2023. Thomas is originally from Greenville where he now lives with his wife, Ellison. His interests include running with his German Shorthaired Pointer, reading, and cooking.

Pamela G. McCauley
Trust Officer for Special Needs & Circumstances

Pam came to Colonial Trust after having served the Probate Courts of South Carolina as a professional Guardian and Conservator. Pam works statewide administering our Special Needs Trusts and other trusts with challenging issues and circumstances. A native of Upstate New York, Pam graduated from the University of Connecticut and came to South Carolina in 1984. She lives in Greenville County.
Kathryn A. Smith, CPA/PFS, CFP®
Financial Planner

Kathryn brings to Colonial Trust experience in both public accounting and financial planning. In public accounting, Kathryn’s time was focused on the areas of high net worth individual, estate, trust, and gift tax compliance, as well as planning. She has also worked as a financial strategist with a wealth management group, guiding clients through retirement preparedness and planning. She earned a Masters of Accountancy and Certificate of Financial Planning from Appalachian State University and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Lees-McRae College. In addition to being a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ (CFP®), she is also a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and a Personal Financial Specialist (PFS).
Matt Van Name, CFP®, CRPS®, AIF®

Matt serves as Corporate Retirement Plan Specialist at Colonial, specializing in Advisory and Consulting Services, including investment advice, retirement plan design, participant education and engagement, and ERISA compliance. He began working with corporate retirement plans in 2010 and holds the Certified Financial Planner (CFP®), Chartered Retirement Plan Specialist (CRPS®), and Accredited Investment Fiduciary (AIF®) designation. A native of Greenville, SC, and a graduate of Clemson University, Matt resides in Boiling Springs, SC, with his two kids.
Madeline A. Hollon

Madeline Hollon joined Colonial Trust Company in November 2025. She brings over a decade of experience in client servicing and financial administration. Prior to joining Colonial Trust, Madeline served as an Administrative Associate with Synovus Securities, Inc. for more than six years, providing comprehensive administrative and client support to a team of investment advisors. Earlier in her career, she spent five years with Sadler & Company, Inc. in the Sports & Recreation Division as a licensed property and casualty insurance agent. She also served as Assistant Manager and Fitness Facilities Account Manager, where she was responsible for departmental coordination and handling a national client base. Madeline earned her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of South Carolina in 2012.

Ellen joined Colonial in 2019 after three years of service at Haynsworth Sinkler Boyd, P. A. where she served as a legal assistant. Ellen holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting and Business Administration from the College of Charleston and is primarily responsible for trust administration, client services, and operations in our Columbia office.
