Prior to joining Colonial in 2001, Bert worked as an Equity Research Analyst with Wachovia Securities, Inc. In 2003, he earned the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation. Bert became a principal of the firm in 2007 and serves as both a trust officer and portfolio manager. He is a native of Spartanburg and a graduate of Washington and Lee University. Bert and his wife Katherine have three teenage children give back extensively to the Spartanburg community. Bert has served as Chair of the Board the Chapman Cultural Center and the Spartanburg County Foundation and a Deacon and Elder at First Presbyterian Church.

Camp R. Wynn, CFA
Camp joined Colonial in 2001, and became a principal in 2007. He previously worked as an analyst in Banc of America Securities’ Global Corporate Investment Bank in Charlotte and for the Bank of America Financial Strategies Group. He earned the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation in 2003. He serves as a trust officer and portfolio manager, and heads Colonial’s investment research. He is a Spartanburg native and a graduate of USC.
H. Walter Barre II
Wally’s resume includes over 35 years of investment services experience. Prior to becoming chairman of Colonial Trust in 1989, he served as a financial consultant for the Robinson-Humphrey Company. He has worked as Colonial’s lead portfolio manager and has extensive trust and estate experience. A Spartanburg native, Wally is a Washington and Lee University graduate and holds a Masters of Business Administration from Emory University. A community servant, Wally has served on and chaired boards of numerous organizations including the Mary Black Memorial Hospital, the Spartanburg County Foundation, the Mary Black Foundation, and has served as the Treasurer of First Presbyterian Church for more than thirty years.
Barry D. Wynn
Since 1972, Barry has worked extensively with investment and retirement planning. Before becoming president of Colonial in 1992, he was First Vice President of the Robinson-Humphrey Company and designed investment policy statements. He is involved in public policy and has served on local, state, and national boards including the Pension Benefit Guarantee Corporation, Santee Cooper, and the SC Economic Development Corporation. He is a Spartanburg native and a graduate of The Citadel.
Jamison W. Hinds, JD
Jamie joined Colonial Trust after having practiced law in Greenville for 18 years with the firm Ashmore Leaphart Rabon Hinds, LLC. He practiced in Estate Planning, Trust & Probate Administration and Litigation. He has served on the South Carolina Board of Accountancy and in other community roles. A native of Birmingham, Alabama, Jamie is a graduate of Sewanee, The University of South and The University of Alabama School of Law.
James C. Fiske, CFP®
Prior to joining Colonial in 2019, Jimmy worked as a Portfolio Analyst at Brown Advisory in Washington, D.C. and more recently as a Financial Advisor at BB&T Scott and Stringfellow in Greenville, SC. He earned a Certificate in Financial Planning from Georgetown University – School of Continuing Studies and is a Certified Financial Planner (CFP®️). He graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Economics from the University of South Carolina. Jimmy is originally from Alexandria, VA, and now lives in Greenville with his wife, Patton, and two daughters.
Charles W. Clementson
Charles joined Colonial Trust Company in Spartanburg as a Vice President – Financial Advisor & Trust Officer. His professional investment background includes over 20 years of experience in investment services. Before joining Colonial Trust, Charles was a Vice President and Wealth Advisor with BB&T/Truist Wealth in Spartanburg. He is a graduate of Wofford College, as is his wife Blair, a local dermatologist. Charles and Blair have three young children.
Kathryn A. Smith, CPA/PFS, CFP®
Kathryn brings to Colonial Trust experience in both public accounting and financial planning. In public accounting, Kathryn’s time was focused on the areas of high net worth individual, estate, trust, and gift tax compliance, as well as planning. She has also worked as a financial strategist with a wealth management group, guiding clients through retirement preparedness and planning. She earned a Masters of Accountancy and Certificate of Financial Planning from Appalachian State University and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Lees-McRae College. In addition to being a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ (CFP®), she is also a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and a Personal Financial Specialist (PFS).
Henry E. Batts III, AWMA®, CTFA
Henry joined Colonial Trust Company as a Financial Advisor, in our Columbia office. He is an experienced financial professional with ten years of comprehensive investment management and planning. Prior to joining the company, Henry worked with Janney Montgomery Scott, LLC in Columbia, SC as a Financial Advisor. He is a graduate of the University of South Carolina – Darla Moore School of Business. Henry holds the distinguished AWMA® (Accredited Wealth Management Advisor SM) designation, the FINRA Series 7 license, and Series 66 Life, Accident and Health Insurance License.
W. Charlton Wieters, CTFA
Charlton came to Colonial Trust in 2018 after seven years in investments and finance at the Coastal Community Foundation of South Carolina. Earlier in his career he gained experience in investments, banking, and real estate finance with Merrill Lynch, Carolina First Bank, and Ravenel Associates. A native of Charleston, he is a graduate of Porter-Gaud, Sewanee – The University of the South, and received an MBA from The Citadel. Charlton received the Certified Trust Financial Advisor (CTFA) designation in 2020 and is a member of the Estate Planning Council of Charleston.
